Grilled Mackerel Rice Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 serving cooked sushi rice
  • 1 tin Season Grilled Mackerel, drained
  • 1 jammy egg, halved
  • 1 tbsp spicy mayo (or mix mayo with sriracha!)
  • 1 green onion, diced
  • ½ tsp rice seasoning (furikake or sesame seeds + seaweed flakes)
  • 1 tbsp teriyaki sauce, on the side

Instructions

1️⃣ Assemble the Base: Start with a bowl of warm sushi rice.

2️⃣ Add the Mackerel: Drain the grilled tinned mackerel and gently place the fillets on top of the rice.

3️⃣ Top It Off: Drizzle with spicy mayo, sprinkle with green onions and rice seasoning, and add the jammy egg on the side.

4️⃣ Finishing Touches: Serve with teriyaki sauce on the side for dipping or drizzling.
